The features in the park include a table top, 20’ rail, 12’ rail, 20’ snow box, and 3 jumps.
The next event will be held on Sunday, February 6th, the day after the SnowFari. There is NO entry fee, although a lift ticket must be purchase.

SKI-SKATE-SNOWBOARD CLASSES BEGIN JANUARY 30TH
UTICA, NY, January 24, 2010 -- The Val Bialas Sport Center at the Memorial Parkway has announced the formation of classes for snow boarding, skiing and skating.
Val’s Academy will begin on Saturday, January 30th and continue every Saturday and Sunday for the entire month of February (except for Snofari day, Feb 6).
Classes begin at 10am at the ski chalet at the Parkway. Instructors will be local experts in each of the sports.
Skating will have 4 classes covering beginning to figure skating.
Snow boarding will cover from beginning to terrain park features, including rails, boxes, jumps and table tops.
Skiing will teach the basics including snow plow, weight transfer, heel slide, schuss, slalom and moguls.
While skates will be available for rent, boarders and skiers must bring their own equipment and it must be adjusted prior to arrival. Cost is $20 per class. These are group classes. To sign up, send an email to SkiBigVal@gmail.com or call 315-266-0453 from 5-8 pm only.
QUALITY SKIING & SKATING RETURNS TO VAL BIALAS
UTICA, NY, November 15, 2009 -- As the Mohawk Valley heads into the 2009-10 winter sports season, we are excited to bring back sledding, skiing and skating to residents in the tradition in which it was originally meant: A sports center run by locals and designed to accommodate locals. The sports center is now run by Cornhill native, J. Mark Ford.
Mark's desire to restore the quality skiing and the resurrection of ice skating at the Parkway stems from his own memories of the many years he spent skiing Big Val and hanging out at the Chalet. (Big Val is the name for the main ski hill at the Parkway.)
